Board {Golden Yellow and True Green}

Yes - a board not including pink, peach, or gold! It is possible. This combination conveys preppy, but the play on pattern and texture keeps it fun and fresh. A lovely spring or summertime palette.

Board {Mint and Peach}

I'm sure I'm not the first one to tell you what a cool combo mint and peach is. But let's elaborate some more! It's such a great vintage-inspired palette while feeling so fresh at the same time. The colors are very complimentary so each lends in making the other pop. I just heart it. So much.

Happy Friday, everyone!

Client Love {Alison + Brent}

Howdy! I am so, so excited for this June wedding at Star Hill Ranch. Alison, the bride to be, is a talented artist and handcrafted her lovely invitations as well as many other day-of graphic details. I swear I have the coolest clients!

For now, I wanted to give y'all a sneak peek of their design inspiration. They love natural elements juxtaposed against geometric shapes. And a relaxed, outdoors atmosphere. I can't wait to see it all come together on their big day.

Accolades

Sometimes you just get wrapped up in things! In the midst of buying a home, planning and designing weddings for amazing clients, and just living life, one forgets to post on their blog from time to time. Well, hopefully it won't happen too often.

Anyway, we decided to give ourselves some props for receiving a bit of blog love this spring.

Happy One Year to Us!

Today, we're celebrating the one year anniversary of Matt and I (not the blog). Matt is one of the most genuine, caring, sweet, fun-loving, funny guys I've had the pleasure to have known. He's my number one supporter and best friend. Everyday is an adventure we are lucky to share. I love you, babe!

April 9, 2011 was the best day of our lives and we got to cement our union in the eyes of the law (by the GREAT state of Texas). We had such a blast celebrating with our friends and family as you can probably tell.

Our design was bright and colorful bier garten.

So. Much. Fun. Enjoy these beautiful photos by Paige Newton Photography!

Workin' It {TEHA 2012}

Hey, all! I wanted to give you a little taste of the tablescape and other materials I designed for the Texas Belles Texas Event and Hospitality Affair (TEHA) in March at one of our favorite venues, Mercury Hall. The Texas Belles, University of Texas at Austin's event planning organization, select their favorite industry folks to participate in TEHA so we were quite honored to be asked!

We love to collaborate with all the talented vendors in Austin so we brought on a few of friends to carry out our design vision - including Loot Vintage Rentals, Rosehip Flora, and The Creative Parasol.

I hope you enjoy our space as much as we did!

We got there early to set up!

Want to see how a magical moss runner is created? See the talented work of Erin from Rosehip Flora below:

Our finished tablescape included precious table and chairs from Loot Vintage Rentals and Bird Dog Wedding Bunting we made:

-------------------------

So everyone could see a little more what Bird Dog Wedding is all about, I created a real-life "pinboard" of my design work. Also had biz cards from my team of vendors and paper fans as favors for those attending.

And there you have it!

We had so much fun putting this design together for TEHA. It was very much Bird Dog Wedding meets Mercury Hall - rustic and whimsical and colorful - all at the same time. Hurray!
